Experience the splendor of the royal Roman Empire in historic Bath and visit the small Wiltshire village of Castle Combe on this extraordinary full-day tour.

Revel in the magnificence of royal Bath, originally developed by the Romans around 100 AD. The natural warm water spring named Aquae Sulis has had a varied history as it lay undiscovered until the early 18th century when there was a renewed interest in warm natural spas. Bath has a new spa and hotel resort, and the city's old stonework has been renovated because of the tourist influx.

While in Bath, you can see the extensive remains of the Roman baths and steam rooms; cross the Pulteney Bridge, one of few in Europe to have a shopping arcade on the bridge itself; visit Bath Abbey, the last of the great Medieval churches in England; and visit the Jane Austen Center, home to author Jane Austen and her literary works. A noted example of Georgian architecture, The Circus, can be seen during the drive through Bath. The Circus was completed in 1768 and is a circular space surrounded by large townhouses.

The tour concludes with a visit to the historic village of Castle Combe, once the site of a Norman castle. The village claims to be the most beautiful of all the Cotswolds villages and has been featured in many films.
